Great little shop on a moderately busy street with other restaurants and stores. Only 6 tables inside, and the short and orderly line moved quite fast, as food service is quick (it’s a kind of in and out joint, you stay just long enough to quickly finish your meal). Menu is in Chinese, pretty simple really, as they specialise in beef noodle soup, with sides such as tofu and eggs. I don’t really like noodle soup all that much but I enjoyed this meal. The beef was the star, flavourful and tender, and lean (you can also choose beef tendon, or a mix of meat and tendon). Noodles and soup were fine. You can choose the level of spicy, and they will add in chilli oil. The noodle soup was reasonably light - not over salted and not greasy. Service was friendly and humble.
If you crave beef noodle soup, try this place! Don't expect top notch service. This is a mom-and-pop shop with a small seating area. If you want good local food in Asia, you gotta sacrifice personal space. So come for the food! I am not sure if the owners speak English. Menu is in Chinese, so probably showing them food pictures on Google will work
Hands down the best meal I've had in Taiwan. I would come back for more. The line was bearable, the place was not big so we had to share a table with others but it was okay. The highlight was the food. We didnt get our order right away so we were just observing the people who were eating. They finished even the soup! The bowl was empty. This got us really curious about the taste. And it didn't disappoint! The broth was rich, flavorful, has so much depth and it was soooo good! The beef has a slight chew and the tendon, my the tendon was a dream! I can still to this day remember how it tasted on my mouth! I am not exaggerating, really! I love the food here! The noodles was perfect to the richness in flavor of the broth, beef and tendon. Highly highly recommend!!!
Tell us what you ordered and what it cost. Two or three sentences about one dish is more useful to the next person than a star rating.
